Terms of Service — POMEO

1. Acceptance
By using POMEO, operated by [UNO Studios] ("we", "us") from Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least [18] years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use POMEO and to be eligible for any prize. By creating or using an account you confirm you meet this age requirement. Each person may hold only one account. Creating or using multiple accounts is prohibited.
3. Free participation
POMEO is a free-to-play game of skill based on predicting real football results. No entry fee, purchase, deposit, withdrawal, wager or stake is required to enter or play, and none ever will be. You score points purely by predicting real match results accurately.
POMEO is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any official tournament organiser, football association, or team.
4. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for activity under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your sign-in secure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
5. Gameplay and scoring methodology
Predictions for a match lock 15 minutes before that match's kickoff and cannot be changed afterward. Only matches we open for prediction can be predicted.
Match points. You earn +2 for a correct outcome (a correct win or a correct draw), and a further +5 (7 points in total) for predicting the exact correct score. Points are only ever added for correct predictions; there is no points deduction.
Bonus predictions. POMEO also offers bonus predictions on longer-run outcomes (such as an overall winner, top scorer, and other milestones). Each correct bonus prediction earns +10 points, added to your total.
How results are settled. Group-stage matches are settled on the 90-minute result. Knockout matches are settled on the score after extra time (the 120-minute result). If a knockout match is still level after extra time and is decided by a penalty shootout, the shootout is ignored — the match is scored as a draw on the post-extra-time score. Penalties never count toward scoring. Scores and points are calculated and finalised by us.
6. How winners are determined
Winners are determined exclusively by the objective scoring of participants' football predictions. No random draw or chance-based selection is used to determine winners.
Tie resolution. When players finish level on points, we separate them using an objective, published order of tie-breakers, applied in sequence and stopping at the first that breaks the tie: higher prediction accuracy; more exact-score predictions; more correct draws; more correct wins; more predictions made; fewer changes to predictions before lock; more bonus points; more bonus predictions; earlier submission of predictions; and earlier to join the game. Because no two players join at the same instant, every position is ultimately decided by skill and participation, never by chance.
7. Corrections, postponements and cancellations
Correction of scoring errors. If a result, fixture, or points calculation is later found to be wrong (for example, a corrected official score), we will re-calculate the affected points and standings so that scoring reflects the correct results.
Postponed or cancelled matches. If a match is postponed, abandoned, or cancelled, predictions on that match are not scored until and unless an official result stands; where a match does not produce a settling result, it is excluded from scoring. We may adjust the affected fixtures and standings accordingly.
8. Fair play, disqualification and fake accounts
To keep the game fair and protect prizes, you agree not to: create or use more than one account; register duplicate or fake accounts; collude, manipulate, or use bots or automated entry; or interfere with the service. We use device and IP signals to detect duplicate accounts. We may disqualify entries, void points, or remove accounts that we reasonably believe breach fair play or were created fraudulently. Prize-winner eligibility is reviewed and confirmed by us before any prize is awarded.
9. Leagues
When you join POMEO and select your country, you are automatically entered into three leaderboards: a global leaderboard, your country's leaderboard, and your continent's leaderboard (your continent is determined by your country). You can also create or join private leagues via shareable invite links. If you create a private league you are its admin; you may transfer admin to another member once, or delete the league. Deleting a league is permanent and removes it for all members. Private leagues may not be used to charge entry, collect stakes, or run a pool of any kind.
10. Prizes and payment
Prizes are bragging-rights rewards and, where offered, limited cash prizes. Current prize amounts are published on the in-app Prizes page and may change. Prizes are not guaranteed and are subject to eligibility and fair-play review.
Where a cash prize is awarded, it is paid through our payments partner (Paystack). To receive a cash prize, a winner provides the bank details needed to set up the transfer; those details are handled by the payments partner, which returns a payment token we use to instruct the transfer. We store only that token and never the raw account number (see the Privacy Policy). Cash prizes are typically paid within 7 to 14 days after the relevant competition period settles. Any applicable taxes are the recipient's responsibility. Our decisions regarding prizes are final.
11. Your conduct and content
You are responsible for content you provide, such as your display name and league names. You agree not to use offensive, infringing, or misleading content. We may remove content or names that breach these Terms.
12. Intellectual property
POMEO, including its name, design, and content, is owned by [UNO Studios]. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute it without permission.
13. Disclaimers
POMEO is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that fixture data, scores, or results shown are accurate, complete, or uninterrupted, as some data comes from third-party sources.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, [UNO Studios] is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of POMEO. Because POMEO is free to enter and play, our total liability to you is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or for the security or integrity of the service. You may stop using POMEO and delete your account at any time.
16. Disputes
If you have a concern about scoring, standings, or a prize, contact us first at hello@pomeopredikts.com with the details, and we will review it in good faith. We aim to resolve disputes informally. Our decisions on scoring and prizes are final, subject to any rights you have under applicable law.
17. Changes to these Terms and to competition rules
We may update these Terms and the competition rules (including scoring, tie-breakers, prize structure, and timelines). Changes apply prospectively — to competitions and periods that begin after the change. The updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and significant changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Nigeria], and disputes are subject to the courts of [Nigeria], except where applicable law gives you other rights.
19. Campaigns, rewards and engagement scoring
From time to time we run optional reward campaigns alongside the core game. These currently include a monthly engagement giveaway, Referral Rewards, and Participation Rewards. Taking part is free and optional, and none of them require any entry fee, deposit, stake, or wager.
- Engagement scoring. Ordinary activity on POMEO — such as posting, replying, predicting, reacting, voting and sharing — earns engagement points. The point value of each action is published in-app and may be adjusted prospectively. Anti-gaming limits apply (per-day limits, and the removal of duplicate or linked-account activity); points earned through duplicate, linked, or automated activity do not count.
- Referral Rewards. You may earn a reward when a genuinely new player joins through your link and actually plays. Duplicate, returning, linked, or inactive accounts do not count.
- Participation Rewards. You may earn from your engagement points, converted at a published rate.
- Prize funds. Where a campaign offers cash rewards, they are paid from a fixed prize fund that we publish. There is no pool of players' money, no stake, and no wager. When a fund is fully allocated, further activity still counts toward your standing but does not increase the amount payable.
- Accrual and cash-out. Campaign earnings are tracked as you go. Cash-out is handled through our payments partner as described in section 10; while automated payouts are being finalised, earnings are recorded and are payable once cash-out opens. Campaign earnings are subject to the same eligibility and fair-play review as other prizes, and may be adjusted or withheld where activity breaches these Terms.
20. Sharing links, outbound tracking and social-handle verification
Some rewards depend on sharing POMEO to other platforms. To keep this fair:
- Tracked links. When you share using the in-app share buttons, the link is tagged with your handle and the platform you shared to, so a resulting visit can be credited to you. A plain "copy link" is not tracked and does not earn sharing points.
- Anti-gaming. Only genuine, distinct visits count. Repeat visits, visits from your own device or a linked account, and activity above the published daily limits do not earn.
- Social-handle verification. To be paid for off-platform sharing or engagement, you must add your real social handles in your profile, and the handle you provide must match the account that engaged or shared. We may verify this before paying and may withhold amounts we cannot verify. Providing a handle you do not control, or claiming activity you did not perform, is a breach of these Terms.
